From 10am - Street Entertainers will be wandering around the town centre.

A little piece of history.

From 10.30am until 5pm - Classic vehicles will be running circular bus tours around town; hail them from regular bus stops and at the town hall.

Perfect pooch?

From 12noon until 4pm - Companion Dog Show at The Westmorland Hall, Kendal Leisure Centre on Burton Road. Entries from 11am are £1 each and spectators are welcome with free entry. (Event sponsored by PHD Construction). For information contact: 01539 734841.

Ready for the big day?

From 12noon until 4pm - Wedding Fair and Open Day at County Hall, Busher Walk; open to the public for anyone contemplating the 'big day'. Look around the wedding facilities and discuss your plans with the registrar's staff and a number of exhibitors able to provide other services.

Get your skates on.

From 1pm until 4pm - Mobile Skate Park facilities will be visiting town, hosted at Kendal Ski Club car park and run by Young Cumbria. Entry is free to young skaters. (Sponsored by Urban Legendz, Highgate, Kendal).

All the fun of the fair.

Taylors of Cumbria present the Torchlight Fair on Gooseholme until Sunday 14th September. Friday 5pm till 10pm, Saturday 1pm till late, Sunday 1pm till 6pm.

LATE NEWS: This year's fair will be on New Road, Kendal next to the river.

Moonlit mazes.

Saturday Evening - Moonlit Mazes this and every Saturday during September at Lakeland Maize Maze, Raines Farm, Sedgwick, near Kendal. open from 6pm to 10pm; a wild challenge in the dark. Take a torch and get lost. Telephone: 015395 61760.
